Icy is a tremendous blue eyed buck, who loves to pose for photos! His first offspring, GMF July Frost, won Reserve Grand Champion Junior buck at the age of 10 weeks!

We are eager to see more Icy babies this year! Icy came to live with us when he was 8 months old from the Covenant Kids herd belonging to Don Hamman.

It is with great sadness that we must say that our Stormy died in his sleep on November 30, 2008. Stormy was not just an incredible buck...he was my friend...always the gentleman, very loving and sweet. He will be always missed. We are so glad that we have many of his progeny in our herd.

Stormy's Pedigree

Stormy earns his Permanent Grand Champion title at the 2006 Oklahoma State Fair

Stormy is a very flashy blue eyed buck.He is black with roaning, white spots and the tan points pattern. He has incredible width of hock and very long body with high sharp withers. Stormy was Reserve Grand Champion Junior Buck at the second show of the 2002 Oklahoma State Fair.

This photo was taken at the TCC Mini Mania Show in Granbury Texas, April 12, 2003....Stormy won Grand Champion Senior Buck at the NDGA show and Grand Champion Buck at the AGS show. Stormy was Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the State Fair of Oklahoma on September 22, 2003. Stormy took the Grand Champion Buck title at the AGS show held October 5, 2003 at the TCC Fall Extravaganza.At the first 2004 show we attended, Stormy took a Grand Champion Senior Buck title in an NDGA sanctioned show. His official height at that show was 22 1/2 inches. Stormy was Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the 2004 NDGA National Show We are very proud of this handsome guy!! Stormy won Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the 2005 Heartland Show with Suzanne McIntire judging. StormWatch won Grand Champion Senior Buck at the Oklahoma State Fair, Sept 21, 2005 with Gary Whitehead judging.

At our first show of the 2006 season, Stormy was Grand Champion Nigerian Buck in the ADGA show at the Texas Caprine Club Spring Classic...then he went on to take the BEST BUCK IN SHOW title when he stood in the ring with the Grand Champion bucks of the other ADGA breeds. Kris Fraley was the judge.

Stormy took a Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the Oklahoma State Fair in September 2006 with Dotty Clark judging; and the next day he was Grand Champion Senior Buck with Rusty Repp judging.

His 2003 kids are , Good Measure Farm Hawthorne, owned by Lynn McAdoo of Dav-Lyn Farm, who won TWO Grand Champion Junior Buck Titles at his first shows in April 2004! and lacks only one NDGA win to complete his PGCH., Good Measure Farm Thumbelina (who is retained in our herd), and Good Measure Farm Dark of the Moon (now owned by Linda and Curt Meth of Big Enur Ranch)...Stormy's 2004 babies are Good Measure Farm Poe, Good Measure Farm Emerson (who has moved to Colorado to be the herd sire for Beverley Dignam), Good Measure Farm Rapunzel ,Good Measure Farm Gretel, Good Measure Farm Calla Lily, Good Measure Farm Tiger Lily, and Good Measure Farm Cooper.....you can see them on the JUNIOR DOE and JUNIOR BUCK pages.. All of his offspring inherit his length of body, wide open escutcheon, sharp withers, tight shoulders....well balanced animals. StormWatch was bred to PromisedLand CP Beguiled for 2006 babies and produced two 'knock out' does!!...Stormy produced two lovely daughters in 2007....Good Measure Farm Isadora and Good Measure Farm Oh Susannah!. Susannah won her Grand Champion Junior Doe title at the Lone Star Goat Fest in October, 2008.

Frosty is the first kid born on our farm with our Good Measure Farm herd name, so of course he is special. He is totally white...the color in the photograph is dirt! He had been rolling in the pasture. He won Reserve Grand Champion Junior Buck at the 2002 State Fair of Oklahoma at the age of ten weeks! He has incredible loose dairy skin, good withers. His weakest feature is his rear legs....his pasterns are not as strong as we would like. Never the less, Frosty is a sweet heart and will live out his life here on the farm. He has given us some fabulous kids this year (none of them have inherited the weak pasterns) including Good Measure Farm Bella...a lovely junior doe who has done well in her first shows.

Xavier is an amazingbuck! His mother, Claudette, is a full sister to our wonderful buck, StormWatch. Xavier and his sister, Carmen, are the first kids from Claudette and both are impressive....having Blue Ice for a sire doesn't hurt either!! Xavier has wonderful depth of body, angularity, and is loaded with dairy character. He has incredibly loose skin and very sharp withers. Xavier was first shown in June 2004 at the Heartland Show in Norman, OK and won an NDGA Grand Champion Junior Buck title with Nikki Smith judging. Xavier has sired quads out of Poetry Oaks Rosalind which are all very nice (yoiu can see them on the Kids Page) and has been bred to PromisedLand DEA Carollina Moon. Xavier won a NDGA Grand Champion Senior Buck title at the 2005 Heartland Show with David Millison judging. Xavier won Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the Oklahoma State Fair, Sept 21, 2005 with Virginia Johnson-Gruver judging Xavier was bred to McScurry Farm Anne witth an E for spring babies.This breeding produced 2 lovely bucklings...Felipe and Pedro.

Xavier won Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck at the Oklahoma State Fair in September 2006 with Rusty Repp, Judge.

Xavier finished his Permanent Grand Champion title at the State Fair of Louisiana in 2006.

Bayard is a striking young buck...long and level. His mother, Beguiled, had a beautiful first freshening udder with a very smooth fore udder. She milked over a quart a day for over 5 months when we decided to dry her off in preparation for her next breeding. Poe has now won his Permanent Grand Champion title: Oklahoma State Fair 2007..David Millison, Judge; Oklahoma State Fair 2008...Deena Sansone, Judge; Lone Star Goat Fest 2008...Renee Furst, Judge. State Fair of Louisiana 2008...Rusty Repp, Judge. At four years of age, Poe measures 21 3/4 inches tall (official measurement taken at the Louisiana State Fair).
